Key argument

Many soils today have an unacceptable high Sodium content, sometimes further increased by extensive use of synthetic fertilizers and salinated groundwater irrigation usage or caused by the natural intrusion of salinated groundwater. The world is losing around 10 million hectares of arable land to salination each year, and we are here to fix it and turn that process around.

Our technology addresses high sodium content in topsoil very efficiently. Rescaype is able to restore degraded and salted land. Our tests prove to bring 2,000 PPM Sodium (Calcium Sulphate) levels down below 10 PPM within less than 3 weeks.

Key argument

The Rescaype polymer is a water-soluble copolymer of 20% polyacetate (Negative charge) and polyacrylamide (Neutral charge). Rescaype restructures soils mechanically in many ways as well as becoming an “exchange platform” for a dual chemistry step process together with, for instance, readily available inexpensive Calcium Sulphate (CaSO4) such as mined Gypsum to rehab soil with high Sodium content.

Key argument

In one process our biodegradable food-grade anionic polyacrylamide takes topsoil Calcium from the Calcium Sulphate in a single bond leaving one positive charge of the Calcium for other bonds thereby causing the “left-alone” Sulphate from the prior Calcium Sulphate molecule to become alone. In other processes, our biodegradable food-grade anionic polyacrylamide finds a Sodium-containing molecule in topsoil, and together they combine into Sodium Sulphate Na2SO4, which is highly soluble in water.

The Sodium Sulphate is then percolated down or in other words run-off from the topsoil with water.
